[ back to list of publications  |  back to main page ] Josef Smýkal ~ The Upbringing of a Blind Child of Pre-school Age After the success of my first booklet I compiled a rather extensive written work that I enlarged with the following themes: the role of the senses in personality development, a guide to self-sufficiency, neglected areas of upbringing, preparation for compulsory school attendance As always, a pictorial supplement is included. The book was published in 1986 in an edition of 1 500 copies. It sold out very quickly. In 1988 I published the last book specialising in this theme: Talks With Parents about Raising a Blind Child.
