The Musicianship of Blind
Children of School Age
in light of their special cognition

As a music teacher I decided to expand my teaching qualifications in typhlopedic studies by switching from a public school of art to an elementary junior school for the blind in Brno. I graduated from the Pedagogical Faculty of Palackého University in Olomouc and I concluded my studies with this thesis. It became my springboard to further activities in this field.

In this thesis I involve myself in research of the musical abilities of blind pupils in elementary schools in Brno, Prague and Levoča. It confirms my hypothesis of higher sensitivity to tones which is one of the many abilities necessary for the development of musical skills.

This work is written in typescript form and was not published.
